Sir,
In reply to your letter of the 18th instant, I am directed to inform you that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve the extradition of Goon Shing and Long Kwal, who were accordingly handed over to Sergeant Yong on the 23rd instant.
The extradition was made subject to the guarantee that a consular officer shall be present at the trial before sentence shall be inflicted.
His Excellency will be glad to receive reports from time to time of the progress of the trial.
